There is something really special about being on the other side of the camera. As someone who has spent years documenting some of the most meaningful moments in other people’s lives, getting to have my own moments captured and relive them through photos has been an entirely different kind of beautiful.
Our welcome party and rehearsal dinner was everything I could have dreamed of and more.

We hosted our welcome party and rehearsal dinner at the Valley Polo Field and Riding Club in Scottsdale, and I cannot imagine a more perfect setting for a western-themed celebration. The open fields, the horses, the warm desert air, it set the tone for the entire weekend before it even began. If you are looking for a venue that feels genuinely unlike anything else in Scottsdale, this is it. It is rustic, it is stunning, and it photographs beautifully.

The photos that came out of that hat bar are some of my absolute favorites from the entire weekend. There is something about a personalized hat, good lighting, and a polo field backdrop that just works.

From the moment guests arrived, the vibe was immaculate. Western aesthetic done right, warm, fun, and full of personality. Each person in the bridal party got to customize their own hat at a Rancher Hat Bar station, and it was one of those moments that made the whole night feel so intentional and personal.

Welcome parties and rehearsal dinners often get overlooked when it comes to photography, and I truly believe that is a mistake. The rehearsal dinner is where the weekend really begins. It is where out-of-town guests arrive and everyone finally exhales. The laughter is easy, the love is everywhere, and the energy is pure anticipation for what is coming. Do not skip the photographer for this one.

From rehearsal dinners to wedding days, I am here for all of it. If you are planning a wedding weekend in Scottsdale and want every part of it documented beautifully, I would love to be your photographer. Let’s connect!
